Luftwaffe Helmet

Hello, kind of new here don't post very often. I bought this Luftwaffe helmet at an estate auction several months ago along with several other german articles.
Just wondered if it is the real deal. Would Appreciate any opinions. Thanks

Shame the mekings are not clearer, can you make out any letters neaqr the 6, thats where the manufacturer code would be, the markings on the rear of the skirt is the batch number. It is a M42, a modification in manufacturing of the earlier M35 and M40 helmets, basicaly a simplification in the making process, these are mid war issue, usually with only a single decal.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't collect WWII german militaria, but no one else at the auction except one person was bidding. I also got two buckles and a medallion. I will try to post pics of them.
