luftwaffe helmet legit?

worth £100? Im thinking of buying

only info I have is:

Original WW2 German M35 Luftwaffe DD helmet shell size 64
The shell is heavily corroded and pitted particularly to right side, but solid and without any holes
Remains of blue-grey Luftwaffe paint
Remains of national shield and late pattern Luftwaffe decal
Inside of crown repainted to prevent further corrosion

I don't know about your value I don't follow prices much check dealer sites some one here will come along helmet looks legit from what I can see however not in the best condition but having said that sometimes that is the way you find them. I have plenty like it original paint which that looks to be and old damaged faded decals. Luft double decals aren't that easy to find so if you like it go for it. timothy

It is what it says, but try to get it for less than 100£. Nothing special.

I agree, its a bit too expensive, bearing in mind that its been repainted internally apart from that its in reasonable condition ,not what you would call a true relic,the metal still has a lot of meat left on it

Hi Bratacus , this shell looks to be a legitimate ex double decal luft, but I personally would not pay that much for it. Your choice but I would wait for something a little bit nicer. Leon.

Well, £100 is not a bargin but is it also hard to get such items much cheaper. The only thing i do not like is that inside of the helmet is overpainted.
