I believe Dave advertised this helmet as showing the effects of being stored in a hot attic for too long.

Too bad it wasn't stored properly... it would be a top shelf lid for sure!

I got a nice DD luft from dave, he is a really nice guy and great seller, maybe if you ask nicely he will work with you and take a few bucks off the price, the helmet is really nice, perfect eagle, and as for the liner, well yes its a shame its shot but when you sit it on a shelf you really cant see the liner anyway! you can always get a nice repro chin strap for it to dress it up a bit.

Dave always sell good stuff.
I think he is the best on the market my opinion.
it is a good helmet no problem ,the shell is super.
to bad about the liner but would be more with a good liner.

As already said, a great looking LW decal/paint combination.
Price wise not too bad, but if you can get Dave to drop a few bucks, all the better.
Can't hurt to talk to him about it.

I think the price is pretty good myself, with a nice liner this would fetch a grand easy on a dealer site. I'd be very tempted myself.

Hi Kradspam,i agree, with a good liner the price would be excellent but alas it has'nt got one,and as this is such a nice example of the luft shell i would not want to mess with the pins and replace the liner,hence in my opinion the lid is to pricey as it is.That said it would look fantastic on a shelf!!

It's a fantastic helmet. As for the price, it's slightly higher than I would like to pay, but it's not an inflated price. As with all helmets, prices are subjective. If you like it go for it. Never hurts to ask for a few bucks off. And keep in mind if you pay by PayPal there is also the fee on top of the price, plus the shipping.
