Hello all, picked another Luft up, any opinions always welcome.

Original for me, I have a question about the interior seems to have been replaced, but it is only a guess.

I'm no expert, but I can not see a piece of felt used on the inner edge of these helmets, but I can not say anything.

Felt? I don't see none either, nor do think I have ever seen felt in one.

You wont see the felt unless the liner is turned out ( it sandwiches between the leather and the liner band )
I think this is the original leather, darkened because of age and environmental factors...

The felt is behind the leather, the leather has to be completely gone (or turned out as mentioned) to see it, like in this untampered [probably KIA] M40 that I have, old seller's pics. I really like that helmet...

I believe it is a unique helmet, but the liner fixation pins, leather holder part is a little loose, at least so it seems in these pictures, which may indicate a replacement of the internal part, but anyway it is a beautiful helmet.

I checked the m42 Luft that I posted here also it also has the felt that was easy to get at because draw string is missing, I should have rembered about the felt, also have this lid u can see it easy.
