Another helmet from my collection, any thoughts?

That liner may be a problem. Not too sure, though.

The liner was perhaps treated to protect the leather. The liner string doesn't look original - but that's not a big deal....looks liike a great shell with a nicely toned decal. Who's the maker and what is the size of the helmet?

Yeh I agree, the liner may have had some leather protection in the past, though it is lighter in tone aorond the edges and the string looks a lot whiter in the photos than in real life, some of that string is from the tag the seller had on it, I kept it on there, but agree it may have been replaced. Shell is marked Q 64 with what appears to be T/36 on the inside rear of the skirt......surprises me as I though it was all numbers till I had a closer look! Chinstrap is dated 1939 though very hard to see

I like the shell and the decal but the liner I am not so sure.

From what i can see with my limited experince, the liner is original to the helmet and never been replaced or removed, the rivets look as thought they have always been there
