LW M40 sd: a nice gift

Hello collectors; I would introduce you an helmet that I received as gift from the dad of a good friend of mine.
Knowing that I'm interested in militaria, He asked me if I would like a german helmet he had in the attic.
I tought about a rusty relic, but:

Any liner pics? I like it. Great find so close to home.

Unfortunately, the liner and the felt have been removed carefully, look at the missing pins. It is a Q62, no visibile markings on the chin strap.
Do you think it worths a new, original period liner?

No much more, at least speaking about militaria. He gave me an Italian M33 also, repainted with a bright, gray paint.
