M 35, 40, 42 chinstraps restoring

Article about: So guys, I've just got some of the dumped chinstraps, the helmets are rust away, but the chinstraps are not. What do you think, is it possible to restore them? I'am sure, they will return it

    LoL...my thoughts exactly. I got 1/2 dozen helmets that I need straps for....LoL

    Fantastic job restoring those.
    I would have thought for sure that they would have come out black and brittle!!!

    Lol, a gold mine of straps there. They turned out great
    - good save and nice job. Several helmets are going
    to be very happy being made whole and complete
    once again.........!
