What is the purpose of the newspaper...I've never seen that before on a helmet...

Hi Glenn,

My guess is that the second owner of this lid put the paper in the liner to get a better, more snug fit.

I've seen it done with soft-caps, did it myself as a kid, but this is the first time I've seen paper used in a helmet liner...it gives your helmet a unique character, a beautiful example!
