Beautiful brute of a helmet. The WWI lids are so much more substantial than later ones (for lack of better words).

Thanks guys. My observation over the years is that the type of exterior finish on this piece usually flakes off in large sections due to poor adherence to the bottom coat of paint. Fortunately, this one has really held up well. I am glad you like it. Jim G.
