Hi, I have no idea, but it appears that the helmet had a HEER decal at one time which has been removed prior to this insignia being added. Leon.

I think you are right about the type of insignia it is supposed to be but is it real is the question. I have no idea but will show the picture to Al B. this Friday and see if he has any thoughts on originality. Jim G.
