Thanks everyone , this was my first ever transitional helmet. I remember not being a big fan of these helmets in my early collecting days.
Times have changed and I have now six of these.

Same here Frank and in fact I have grown a real enjoyment out of the transitional and WW1 helmet. My WW1 collection has grown to 6 or 7 and I picked up a couple transitional police the past few months even. They do grow on you!

Oh yeah a Tranny Polizei is also on my list. I have one in sight but am waiting for the price to drop.

I think perhaps I know the one. Dave's ear cut out LW re-issue is an awesome one but too pricey for the condition even though its as rare as hen's teeth.
