That's sneaky!!!......if its meant to be, it's meant to be!!!
Reserves aren't sneaky. It's a kind of protection for the seller. Sometimes the reserves are high but not always. Auctions can be a big risk for sellers. I've seen items sell for a lot less that what sellers paid for them, even of the otitis was actually worth more than it sold for. I tried to explain it but it's difficult to do. I think reserves help when a seller doesn't really have an exact price they want for an item.
Nothing sneaky about it!!
I've put reserve prices on items for that exact same reason, just to make sure that the seller has some back up!!!!
Yeah but if you want to sell, have a starting price that you'd be happy with, any bid after that is a bonus. I will never bid on any item with a reserve, it's not a attractive thing for a buyer in my opinion
I can understand your logic. But I have not witnessed an auction, especially for helmets, start at say $500. The auctioneer starts there in hope someone makes that bid, but it usually goes down to around 100 before someone starts the bidding. People loves bargain but sellers want to make it worth their time and don't want to take a huge hit in the process. I guess it's like a lot of other things, either you agree with it or you don't, lol.
About 6 days left on this helmet auction in the Classifieds. Only one bidder so far.
Maybe their waiting till the end...snipers ready!!!
Very well could be. Get your sights zeroed in.
