When in hand I will Doug - it may be a stencil though ( or a silk screen - that's what I would do for something that big )

From the pics mate, it looks to me that the whole helmet was aged in one go, just doesn't look like natural aging to me, but I hope I'm wrong

We should really be calling them Werkshutz or werkluftschutz helmets rather than 'guards helmets because they were for air defense duties rather than policing or security ( less glamorous I know )

The thing to note is that these do not look like decals - but rather painted stencils and I cannot imagine the effort a faker would go to to create a stencil mask and then do this degree of accuracy and aging. The paint appears to be 'brushed through' or stippled onto the surface as they may well have been done by labour at the actual factory and not for it by a helmet works.

Rare they may be, but they are not big ticket items and are obviously out there but thinly spread and while mine is still in transit, I expect to see a similar patina and make-up on the Arado one when it arrives.

I know this seller has tarnished his rep with other things ( and once tarnished can never be atoned ) but I am still hopeful based on these images that mine is legit .....
