Nice helmet Jim it would look really good in my collecton as I dont have one I am jealous as hell Aquick question if I remember right was the pad in the top of these helmets pony fur or am I thinking of a different helmet.

Hi Mark, I think you are right, many of the dome pads were stuffed with horse hair, but I think other materials were used as well. Glad you like this one. It weighs about 2.6 pounds, about the same as a standard combat M35. Cheers, Jim G.
Very nice lid Jim I could not remember all the detail about the dome pads there was something there in the back of my mind thanks for setting me straight at 2.6 pounds that is a very heavy lid indeed.
