This one is a post war helmet I'm afraid. Used for firefighting or police mostly, but several non military applications.
The markings in the last photo are what not to look for on a wartime example, as well as subtle shell shape changes, mostly in the rim.
that's not very good news :P
How much did you pay?....
25 eur :P
It isn't money down the toilet, i'd pay 25 for it!...
hehe i will try to get a refund xD if not i will see what i can do with it :P
I'm glad you didn't pay much
At least you know now that the DIN numbers, and that circular logo are only on post war helmets.
I'm afraid so Greek those are post war makings in that one they were a fire police helmet and made and used after the war course you can find ones reissued post war I have had one way back in the day and didn't discover it until I read Ludwig Baer's book on the Fire police helmets. You did good on the price they are collectible in some of the post war collectors sight. Always avoid the DIN marks wartime should be DN the circular LS mark as mentioned also I had a BW 1950's one with the same mark and liner affixed in the top no side rivets and good luck. timothy
Thanks for replying
