M34 police helmet?

Article about: Is this a genuine WW2 era helmet? The only example I have found had the vent holes lower on the side.

yep thats a one looker, 200 is a good price. oh and just so you know, its made of lightweight aluminum and not steel, these were used by civil police/firemen and not really combat related, still its a genuine ww2 german helmet, I have one myself.

These are made of steel mate, just not as thick as a combat model. A lot are marked edel-stahl. The meaning in these cases is I think 'top quality steel', but it can mean 'stainless steel' too. Basically any high quality steel with particularly low sulfur and phosphorus content, not necessarily rust proof.
