M35 Combat helmet

Hi all, I bought this helmet a few years ago it's an ET66 batch number 3678 originally issued as a kreigsmarine helmet,re issued as an army helmet camo ed in 2 shades of green with traces of ochre and after at sometime white washed, so a real combat vet.The traces of whitewash are visible around the rivets,the last three pics show the KM eagle peeping out from behind the army one ,the KM ET head is plainly visible. Thats a nice looking helmet, nice age to it and a good looking decal. IMO this is a genuine example. The whitewash can be seen quite clearly around the back pin. Liner looks salty but original

Thanks for the comments guys the top eagle is army the eagle beneath it is definitely KM, in hand their is no question the gold is too dark and strong to be a toned army.Regards Roger

Nice looking shell! I have to ask about the liner though - is it original? Looks like a Norwegian re-issue - especially the tie string.

Now thats a nice original helmet getting rarer to get in that condition.thats the way all battle used helmets should look in my opinion ,unless they had an easy life behind the lines,lv

Thanks for the comment LV I like that look ,really has been there and done it,hi Lach the liners good,original alluminium dated 1937and the rivets are straight same as my other lids the leather is just dark with wear but the draw string is an old bootlace
