Here is a recent acquisition which fills the hole that was left when my other double decal KM, that I had purchased over a decade ago, was outed as a fake. These are pretty rare, and I didn't think that I would be able to fill the spot, but I got lucky I guess. This one has seen better days, but still has all of its original factory components, including a single aluminum banded liner (sorry, I can't read the date), and a brown un-maker marked chin strap. The leather of the liner is still fairly supple, and has the tell tale ring shaped stains that we see on helmets placed over the soldat's gas mask canister. The split pins are lighter than the factory paint of the shell, but are clearly original to the piece. This color difference (between the shell and the liner pins) is common with M35's of all service branches. The shell is also named in pencil over the maker mark, but I can't make out all of the letters. I posted a lot of pictures of the adler to show the "layered' construction of the decal that you like to see on the birds on M35 and some M40 KM's. The adler side shot of the shell and the full shot of the liner wouldn't load, sorry. I will try to add those shots later today. Anyway, here it is, hope you like it, Jim G.

I was kinda hoping he would mistakenly box up the other KM currently listed and send that one to me instead. No such luck, but I am certainly pleased with this one in any event. A buddy called me when the site was updated and I was able to get through before it got snapped up by some one else. I got into a little trouble on the home front, as I had just committed to buy the ventless M18 that I posted last week, but what the hell, you only live once.
