Very nice helmet!!!!
Very nice helmet!!!!
They don't get any finer than this. Very representative of "the" Wehrmacht helmet as they went to war in 1939. I'd personally rather have this than any SS helmet, but that's just me. Well done, and worth the wait!!!
Your pics are fine.
I am green with envy... Beautiful example, congrats!
Thanks guys. Yes...it was worth the wait and is one of the centerpieces (there are a couple of others competing for that position ) But this is very very very very close to the helmet I have always dreamed of having as a kid. It's just one slight color shade away from the ones that were on certain makers of the early '36/'37 lids... I think I'm being greedy

Indeed, this is a Very nice helmet. I like to see them
with a bit of wear. The short strap is what it is.
Congrats......... !
Regards,
Steve.
Congrats on a stunning helmet
I like a bit of wear as well, but one like this is in its own league
MFG

Thanks Steve/Mark: I agree. My favorites are usually used but not abused with solid liners. But a minty DD M35 IMHO is a requirement if they can be found. It is one of the defining images of the Wehrmacht.
...But I'm still on the lookout for an earlier version with the slightly different shade of pea/apple green.
