Article about: Got back from a school trip to Morocco today and received this nice M35 shell. I mostly bought it because it was really cheap, 25€ for an original M35 shell so I obviously didn't spend any t

Does look good, nice work & lucky the black paint was fairly easy to scrape off.

Looking good and much nicer in its original colour than the dreadful black someone had ruined with. Ex-bikie helmet perhaps?

Thank you for your comments, I'll have better pictures coming up tomorrow (hopefully) since I not got rid of most of the paint in the dome for which I had to use thinners because there was no way to get it out with a blade unfortunately, that also resulted in some of the original paint suffering some scratches etc.. but it's only there so it ain't that bad.
I also used the thinner to wipe over the outside of the shell to get rid of some of the small specs of black paint and then polish it up again, that also got rid of the scratching marks that were kind of on the surface of the paint from removing the black paint, but since they were only superficial they immediately came off.

As for your theory Andy, I think that might be the case, either ex-biker helmet or fire department, though I don't think a biker would've bothered scratching away the eagle decal.
