wow!
wow!
Very nice looking helmet. I wouldn't say it's mint. I has a few issues with scratches and handling marks. Still.........it's a beauty I'd like to own.
Mint is a coin collecting term. I'd call this Excellent unissued condition. Slight storage marks, never worn. Great helmet.
And completely through the roof for the average joe. Bummer.
takes my breath away that dose.

You may all call me a maverick ( and some will shake your fists and furrow your brows ) but to me it has no "soul" or "aura" - it is an excellent example of the helmet makers trade, for sure, but the conflict passed it by and it ended the war in silence, alone and unused, like the player unselected and left by the sidelines..........
Dan ( leave the crusty ones for me! )

Dan, you're making me feel sorry for this lid.........!

I know this helmet is original, but it is so crisp I also don't think I would enjoy it as much as the ones I know saw action or that I otherwise know the provenance of. A dream for someone that collects unissued helmets, however! Still, a really cool helmet that I would be happy to own.
WoW they look amazing - am getting high of those fantastic pics of this helmets.
In my opinion this helmet is just as good as a wartime chickenwire camo. It may not have seen the war, but it is in the condition it would have been in when it was originally issued to the soldier. There is just enough history there then anywhere in my opinion. How often do we get to see them the way they came out of the factory. I'd take this one over just about any DD Heer out there. I was more awed on my first sight of this helmet, then I have been on any wartime helmet to date. Maybe with the exception of that snow camo with wire and cloth on GHW.
