    Default M35 Heers DD?

    Guys

I was hoping Ade or Bob could have a look at this.

It has an odd skirt at the rear seams to get shallower.

It is pre Euro allthough I am aware this means nothing.

I have a German pal who reacons its ok.

The apple green is ok and appears to be the early sort of cooked on stuff the decals show no sign of tampering.

That leads me to believe it is a complete fake or a sleeper?

    Remaining markings seam ok?

    I await your opinions, cheers.

Jock, for what its worth, and it probably isn't, but first looks. it appears to be a sleeper, i like the way the "white" tri colour has toned, and I do like that eagle. Doug, Francis or Frank, as well as Ade will be able to say for sure. But I like it, but then again I've been wrong before

That's probably the mintyist minter I've seen

It's a fake , send it to me
No , only joking !! It is a very nice ET so far but could you make a pic of the whole inside too ? Is it a single alu band with an early "embossed" liner ?
    Thanks
    Francis

Francis, with this early an ET, would you not want to see the early Sans Serif font for the ET64 and lotnr and possibly the size for the dome stamp rather than the oval domestamp?
Also an embossed single band aluminum liner as you have said.

    Guys,

All dates are 1937 on chinstrap, liner aluminium, on the dome stamp so not that early, just not that used. Its the neck guard/skirt that for me is odd, when looking at it straight and level it seems shallower at the rear?

    Regards

To me that helmet looks nice and untouched helmet!
That kind of liners is pre 1938, without the side reinforcements, and that is counted as early helmets.

i take it the terminology( sleeper) means a untouched or un issued helmet??

The term comes from our American cousins.

It refers to any item which is in almost perfect mint condition. Like it has just been asleep for 60 odd years.

    Cheers, Ade.
