Re: M35 Heers DD?
Jock, for what its worth, and it probably isn't, but first looks. it appears to be a sleeper, i like the way the "white" tri colour has toned, and I do like that eagle. Doug, Francis or Frank, as well as Ade will be able to say for sure. But I like it, but then again I've been wrong before
That's probably the mintyist minter I've seen

Re: M35 Heers DD?
It's a fake , send it to me
No , only joking !! It is a very nice ET so far but could you make a pic of the whole inside too ? Is it a single alu band with an early "embossed" liner ?
Thanks
Francis

Re: M35 Heers DD?
That truly is a sleeper! Very nice.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: M35 Heers DD?
Francis, with this early an ET, would you not want to see the early Sans Serif font for the ET64 and lotnr and possibly the size for the dome stamp rather than the oval domestamp?
Also an embossed single band aluminum liner as you have said.

Re: M35 Heers DD?
Guys,
All dates are 1937 on chinstrap, liner aluminium, on the dome stamp so not that early, just not that used. Its the neck guard/skirt that for me is odd, when looking at it straight and level it seems shallower at the rear?

Jock

Re: M35 Heers DD?
To me that helmet looks nice and untouched helmet!
That kind of liners is pre 1938, without the side reinforcements, and that is counted as early helmets.

Re: M35 Heers DD?
i take it the terminology( sleeper) means a untouched or un issued helmet??
-
Re: M35 Heers DD?
The term comes from our American cousins.
It refers to any item which is in almost perfect mint condition. Like it has just been asleep for 60 odd years.
Cheers, Ade.
