M35 helmet decal

Thanks for looking at the post, I was wanting opinions on this decal. I can see gilt & it seems to have been there for awhile!

It hasn't been there long enough!

Placed on top of the tan paint ( which is not ww2 ) and then with the dark green paint over the top of that means that someone's "discovery" is only the finding of a reproduction decal I'm afraid.

Hi, it's been so heavily scrubbed back that it has ruined the look one way or the other for me. The tan appears to be on top to my eyes but like Dan, it is still not one I would be looking to buy. Leon.

I have to take back my comments and agree with Leon that the tan paint is on top so it could be genuine. The decal does have some Pocher characteristics as used on the NS & SE makers but it has been affected by the stripping process which makes it look fake.

I purchased this helmet 3 years ago & posted it here. It had mixed reviews but everyone said the liner & helmet was good but decal & paint was post war applied! It took me forever to get to it but I started to remove the paint. When I got to the decal it wouldn't cone off the more, I cleaned the more it started looking like my other decal on my M35. I am going to just leave the helmet as it is!
