M35 Luftwaffe Helmet Opinion

Hey guys, picked this up pretty cheap in a lot of uniforms and field gear. It looks good to me. The chinstrap is partially split. Any opinions are appreciated. Any thoughts on how to fix the split strap?

Hi, looks a good M40 to me as well, as for the strap, just look after it, that's about all you can do. Leon.

Thanks Leon, I still have a hard time with M35 vs M40. Hard to tell if the vent is one piece or two.

Look on the inside - you will see the fold of the vent insert if a M35.

A nice one looker, nothing you can do about the strap just leave it be as its part of the helmets history and character
