The markings are not important it will be 1940 , just check the rivets.

I got the helmet yesterday - looking at the helmet I see no problems with the split pins.
My USB microscope died, but I have bought a new - I promise pictures of the split pins when I get it.

The USB microscope arrived today.

Liner band is dated 1940 and maker must be Werner Zahn - from what I can see.
...found a picture of a liner band with the same markings.

Split pins are tight and marked IKA40.
