Two things I notice - 1) That looks like an M40 liner (reissue?) 2) That decal sure looks like one offered online that I acquired for an M40 project I did.......

It's a fake , now what I don't understand is the many topics on this forum where people are 'offered' helmets.
Why would you buy a helmet offered to you instead of looking for one ?
Does it have to do with an 'interesting price' or do you know the person offering it to you ?
If interesting price I can tell you right here and now that is always a red flag. Forget about deals in TR helmet collecting. If there's a deal someone is getting screwed and usually always the buyer. Good deals are like winning the lottery.
