M35 Reissue Heer - SE 68 - Lot # 3495

I picked this one up in a junk shop in 1994 for a staggering $50! *It is a bathtub sized SE68 with a 9 fingered size 60 9 tongued unreinforced single**aluminum banded liner (the original factory installed liner I believe) complete with a 193(5?) dated chinstrap. *Is was obviously originally a double decal Heer, and at some point it was surfaced to the liner band with rough textured green combat paint - maybe more than once. *It has a few Heer decals applied haphazardly one over the other on the left, but what appears to be the original factory applied tri color on the right. *This one saw some combat! *It is my favorite reissue. *Hope you like it. *Jim G.

Love It !! The inside is quite nice. Top quality early leather is evident with all the exterior wear. Is that an ED S. decal ? I can't tell.

It's a beauty Jim. I love M35 reissues and this one has it all - original early factory liner, national colors showing, big size, well used look. Not a bad price either!

I've said it before, but I love the way that the paint "crazes" on decal over paints! A great looking helmet Jim. Leon.
