I'm amazed this has had so few replies in the time it has been up. This is what it's all about guys.

Strange, but crappy faked helmets seem to attract the most attention, rather than being largely ignored as they deserve.

A stunning helmet and though not my area of interest these days, it is a rare helmet deserving of a greater appreciation than it has so far received.

I suppose it's an extension of "bad news sells newspapers". People always like controversy and are more likely to talk about something negative than something positive. It's easier to comment on a terrible fake but only a specialist will see the real merit in something exceptional like this.

Indeed, easy for everyone to comment on a bogus item and I do understand this, but for most of them after the first few posts no further comment is required.

The other thing I have noticed is that as an item gets responded to and its post count increases, this also seems to attract more views and hence more posts.
