very nice addition
Regards James
Hi , that's a nice looking helmet ,are you sure it is zimmerit? There is a lot of debate as to whether that was actually used due to the added weight (that really is heavy armour stuff), it's ok on tanks but not necessarily on a helmet? That said the cammo looks good and original to me whatever it is. Leon.
I have seen examples of using this stuf on helmets and it looks like its the same material but one thing for sure this one is 100% original i like it there is a possibility that i use this helmet for my luftwaffe flak man as for i now al branches exept the kriegsmarine used this type of camo.
I know they often added sawdust and dirt to the paint...Real Zimmerit was added to armored vehicles in order to thwart magnetic anti-tank charges from sticking to the armor...I like the helmet, well done friend!
cheers, Glenn
thanks yes thas also a possibilty but one thing for sure i like it!
Much has been written on zimmerit coated helmets. I am of the opinion that do not believe they exist and it's a collectors fanciful term.
Regardless it is a nice rough surface textured camo helmet you have there!
Nice M35 with rough overpaint.
I like it too.
I am also a zimmerit non-believer, never seen one to date.
Brad.
+1 for the don't believe in zim camp, but definitely a nice helmet to be proud of.
I struggle to see a situation where zim is easier to obtain than paint and dirt/sand.
+2, I am not a believer for this Zmmerit paint on helmets.
But a very nice thick painted helmet!
