Terrific looking lid Chris,theres something about a beaded helmet ,very underrated imo,but even better with a set of good decals,for a bit of useless info , the first time i ever saw a beaded helmet was 45yrs ago ,it was in the film 'The Third Man ' they had real German police officers with their post war uniforms,equipment and M40 helmets

Lovely DD beaded police! One thing I've noticed on a lot of beaded helmets is that the paint on the rivets frequently seem to be a lot darker and more well preserved than that on the rest of the exterior, just like on this one... maybe this has something to do with the properties of this specific kind paint coupled with the material use to manufature the rivets? One of these is definitely on my looong list of items to acquire.

Paint on split pins can vary in shade as they were sometimes manufactured and painted by a different company, so the shade of paint didn't exactly match.
