It is a nice looking lid now - so much better than the hideous 'camo'
that was on there before. I know how hard it is to get remaining
areas of more recent paint off by the acetone method.........

great looking now!
Thanks guys, not my prettiest lid but it was a labour of love.
Too bad that using the acid removed some of the white paint too
Good work,a massive improvement on what you started with.Just goes to show that in the right hands you really can "roll back the years" on some things.(although it never seems to work on a newsreaders face!!)
Yes indeed. The camo paint was crap. Underneath you found the true helmet - nicely done. Keep what you have now! NH
Kradspam sold it to me a few months ago and it is a world traveler helmet ..... now in Australia.
It DOES look great and he did a great recovery job on it!!

How did this end up back at the top, nice to see it again Glad you still like her Dan.
Kyle, none of the white came off, it was ridiculously tough from what I remember. I used Acetone which is a solvent rather than an acid.
New avatar, eh Andy??? Christmas in the krad household or wishful pressie thinking?
