if you can touch it it is real :-) But it's not a WW2 authentic camo helmet.
Also lot numbers are not branch specific. So looking up one lot and having a hit does not mean that the helmet is 100% KM , it could still be Heer , SS etc.
Where that fantasy comes from I do not know but I have to repeat it a lot :-)
In my opinion, it is not good!
The reference to the Brian Ice Lot number database doesn't really prove anything - all it shows is that Brian Ice has seen this helmet before and has catalogued it as such (or a very similar helmet with the same lot number). It does not prove the helmet is genuine.
Based on the pictures shown, i have to agree with Frank (Schwerpunkt) - it does not stand out as being a one look authentic WW2 German camo helmet to me, it looks like a modern creation.
