M40 Luftwaffe Good or Bad?

I have been offered this helmet for sale. Original or fake? Don't know lot # or maker yet. The leather liner looks misalinged, not sure why. Thoughts on buying?

Bit fuzzy on the photos , but the liner has been taken out and replaced wrongly, ie the inner ring that holds the leather has been misplaced onto the outer ring, the seam should be at the rear, unless you know what your doing i wouldnt try to correct it, there are steel springs that have to be placed in slots on the outer ring and then the system needs to be turned until the seam lines up with the rear centre skirt, not that easy for someones first time especially if the springs have any type of corrosion on them, a few more detailed shots of the decal, maker and lot nr are needed

Your going to need a clearer and closer picture of the decal.

have been replaced or repro because of the sharp edges,
it's hard to tell from these shots...........

Luft helmets are quite common, so don't pay a huge amount
if you are considering it. $550-$650+.

I offered $480 with the option to back out if I want. Haven't heard back in reference to the lot # and maker mark. I already have a M40 Luft in much better condition, so I might pass on this one. If I get more info I will post it ASAP. Thanks again for the advice.

Additional info: seller says it is stamped Q64. He says it is hard to make out the lot # but he thinks it is EN193. Any help is appreciated.
