M40 Luftwaffe Quist 62

Folks,

This is my latest helmet - Quist 62, Lot No.770.

I like the slightly lighter feldgrau paint that Quist helmets have and i wanted a decal with no defects. I've seen several nice helmets for sale, but the swaz is missing a leg or the beak is missing from the Adler. All mine has is a slight spot in the middle, barely noticeable.
The photographs bring out every slight scratch on the helmet, but when you look at it on the shelf it really does look awesome and in great condition.
The decal looks almost brand new with the naked eye, but under the USB microscope you can see the lacquer and some age to it.

The split pins are rock solid - absolutely no movement at all.
I cannot get the steel liner band to move so cannot determine the maker and year.

I am wondering if this was not issued, or if it was never worn. It is possible it never had a chin strap. There is not really any wear to the liner and no stretching.

I cannot make out a dome stamp either, but as i understand you often do not see these in Quist helmets.
