Hey guys so I’ve shifted away from camos since their seems to be so many fakes out there and looking at standard helmets instead. I’m about to buy this one and just wanted to get it vetted to be sure as I have talked with another member about this and have learned a lot. Is there anything I should be weary of. Thanks as always guys and hope everyone is having a great day!

As you know, I think this is a fine helmet in good condition. Some paint loss but not something you wouldn't expect.

The decal looks like a fine 2nd pattern decal and from what I can see, the liner looks fine.

Interesting observation on these "dot" decals that I would love to hear others views on. They were used across a number of makers, but for some reason, on SE helmets I've seen that the black dot on the wing root is not as "dark/black" vs what you see on say a Q or ET.

Anyone have any thoughts on that. When I have time, I think I saw another SE decal similar to this.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I just looked at a few decals on ET helmets and have found similar examples. Ignore my comment about SE only. But still I have seen this variation where the Dot in one decal is BLACK and in others it is much lighter (almost like it is a "gap" and not a black dot).

Nice lid, a pity the bird has been clipped but a nice addition to a collection.

Thank you guys my biggest concerns where the decal which map taught me a lot about the dot variant of that decal and other concern was the chipping on the back of the helmet but looks all good to me now!

Nice helmet, the slight blemish to the adler would not put me off either - it's still a great helmet if the price is right.

I had one more question on this helmet I forgot to ask a long time ago! Is this possibly a re-issue I know that m40’s where hardly ever “re-furbished” and sent out again but I read that the more dark charcoal color Luftwaffe helmets where. The source I read it from was a thread in this forum so just wanted to ask for education purposes.! Thanks everybody!

Original paint to me. If it was factor refurbished, I think they would have replaced the 41 dated chin strap too!

Edit: You HAVE to rotate your avatar photo....It's driving me NUTS
