Another good helmet ruined by a faux paint job.
Note the sanding marks and deliberate wear areas.

I agree with Dan on the paint, also I'm not sure of what is the deal with the liner.
It is hard to tell with the shadowing of the photo but something looks amiss.
Is there a second stitched seam?
Either way I would avoid this lid altogether.

Hi, I think the liner itself may be ok, but I doubt it ever came from this helmet, the liner pins are trying to be the early brass type, but they are very loose so I think they are modern fake replacements and this liner has been dropped into the shell. I do not like the decal much either and the paint/cammo is certainly a fake. There is no natural wear to it what so ever, just looks like a sanded down mess. I would leave it well alone and run away!! Leon.
