M40 Single Decal Luftwaffe

Hi,

Saw this M40 single decal luft for sale online for a pretty good price. My first thoughts are that it looks good but just wanted to confirm that it is indeed an original. Any help in verifying the authenticity of this helmet is greatly appreciated.

The photos are lacking, but it may be an honest Quist lid. Can you ask for more photos? These are distant and out of focus.

Very good. I like what we see so far, but better photos will say one way or another. Mind if I ask what the asking price is?

The seller wants $475, which I could be wrong but seems like a good price to me. What are your thoughts on the ballpark value for this helmet?

It's an ok price, but see if $450 would be agreeable.........

Closer to 400 would be ideal, the shell looks a bit rusted over, the liner looks pretty rough also, and its lacking a chinstrap which is quite normal but will cost you extra if you ever want to add one.

I agree. If you're looking to keep it, around $400-450 is ideal.

Hi , looks like a good M40 single decal Luftwaffe to me also, As the guys say , do not pay over the odds as this type of helmet is not the rarest. Leon
