Re: M40 White Camo
Top lid Paul!, Ostfront items just don`t come much better than this do they!!!
One day maybe I`ll own something of such quality and desirability!!
But for now I`ll stick with my (ever) expanding relic lid collection, have a cup of cocoa and an early night before I get tooooo jealous!!
See ya mate, `Rustenfuhrer A.T.D.C`.

Re: M40 White Camo
Aahh... hadn't seen this one before. Very nice, Paul! The perfect amount of "salt"/wear for my taste, so to speak

Re: M40 White Camo
Thanks for the 'bump', I like the reappearance of the decal due to wear. It seems that simple whitewash would often fade, flake or rub off and reveal the decal beneath.
Here is the ghost of my relic M40 whitewash decal to compare.

Re: M40 White Camo
Certainly it appears that if the helmet had been white washed Glenn the more cahnce of the wear revealing a decal or other layers of paint !!

Re: M40 White Camo
Nice one Glenn, I reckon a M35 too as the rivet has sharp edges and no M40 does as the vent is formed.
