Here are the pics of my fantasy helmet. Inside markings are as follows:

Shell - ckl very faint 6 followed by?, too faint to read. Also number 5074.

Liner - DRP Schubert werke Braunschwig kg 1937 all in straight lines.
NA over 9 is on the right side, new model.
B with ? over a 58 or nine on front.

Also looks like aluminum, and rivets are brass, check out pic.

This is probably a fake, but only cost 100 at a garage sale, so no harm done.

Sorry but the most original thing about this lid is the steel, the rest isn't good. The liner has been swapped, which explains the ring date and the leather isn't even german. The paint look good on the outside but inside the crown doesn't match the rim so it doesn't fair well for the paint. But at least you have a genuine shell. Probably a CKL66 and a ND helmet during the war

The chinstrap is also a replacement, forgot to mention.

I was also curious as to what country would the leather be from. No pepper holes, so not german I take it.

Pull out the liner and chinstrap and resell it as a shell. Its been repainted so it has minimal value but you can still probably recover most of your $100 on flipping the shell.

I think youll find this is a Nowegian Reissue, ive seen them with this type of chinstrap, plus the exterior paint looks like the colour they painted them in
