Liner has not been repaired. It is a late war liner made out of two or more separate pieces that appear to be laminated together. You can see in the top arrow from Dan's photo that it is not stitched but laminated.
Refer to Kens book page 428 for details (for large liners 61cm or late war measures)
I like the chin strap. Hard to see the photos but is it a repair?
I would take the chinstrap off the brim. It's already hanging by a thread.
