Well i bow to your superior knowledge and thanks for the advice i guess if everyone asked advice before purchasing, then there would be no outlet for fakes. got me thinking on the double decal luft in my other thread ....

Combat Police helmets had double decals through the end of the War, so double decal M42 Police helmets are relatively common. The decals on this one, however, are well known repros. Jim G.

You shouldn't , Polizei are always double decal.

The double decal didn't trouble me at all,but i do feel a little bit silly not realising they were not as should be.
Note to self must study harder, anyone got any good links as to what to look for in these decals?

Just glad i didn't pull the trigger, safety catch is staying on till I get a clear shot in future !!!
