Thanks, one week left of it. It was said to be found in North Norway after May 45 when someone looked for berris in the woods. I like this one. Could it be an early M42 cause they stopped produse these decals in 42 right?

Hi there, original heer helmet as already said with a good original decal. As for dateing the helmet the best way will be to look on the liner band as it should be date stamped there. As you say,the "order" to remove decals from helmets went out in 42 but this was often ignored(at many levels!) Good luck with the auction, Leon.

+1, with perhaps a slightly higher estimate of a value. Good luck!
+1, I would have thought a little bit more, value wise, as that decal it quite nice still.
Good luck from me too!
Brad.

Re: M42 Heer
It is still a nice helmet and the value should be 250€ and up IMO.

Re: M42 Heer
Last month, I missed a LW 42 in the same condition at 300 € in France, the paint was very good, the inside like this one.

Re: M42 Heer
Nice that you all like it. Sorry to hear abut your Lufty, these auctions is very unpredictable, either it goes too far high or sometimes it goes away for a bargain!
Hope this one doesn't accelerate!
Have a nice weekend// Sweguy

Re: M42 Heer
By the way, what about the liner? What du you think have made that a lot of it is missing? I can see some dark spots on the edge of it? The owner thought it looked like it had been burned.

Re: M42 Heer
Sold for 530 Euro, didn't buy it since I think it was a little high!
Thanks for your help// Sweguy
