I picked this up this week at a fair price. I have a few already, but I like the bigger sizes, and at a size 68, I can almost take a bath in this one. It has a decent decal, and the paint is about 85%. The liner has 9 fingers, and is one with three pieces laminated and stitched together. It shows some wear, but is pretty well intact. I am not a fan of the strap, but it was one the piece when I bought it and from a distance it displays well. The shell is an ET68, with a lot # of 1530. On the GHW data base, there is another SD Heer with this lot number, but that one is and ET62. An added bonus is the complete, albeit light and blurry, acceptance stamp in the dome. The liner is in too tight to read a date, but I would guess this one was from about 1943. Overall, it is a representative M42 Heer. Hope you like it. Jim G.
