Hello
The 70s and 72 exist and Paras size 73 too
I have an M40 size 70 and a M35 Relic size 72 and a para size 73 relic
74 is extreme rare, because the soldiers dont have so big heads at this time
Best regards
Bavarian

Good untouched condition is the most important , loose rivets are not a problem. Just always check them on the inside.
Never mess with an untouched helmet.
4104 is in the no decal range so that is also good.

Nice helmet with no issues.
i like the look of that pigsking leather as well. go for it
Looks good Tobi.
A nice original ND M42 with lots of paint remaining.
Leave the rivets as they look fine and are part of the helmets history and trying to align them may damage the helmet. Store in a low light low humidity environment with a stable temperature and it will be fine.

Looks all good to me as well.
thank you all for your qualified answers, i placed the order for the helmet. I'm really excited - will post a picture as soon as it arrives
Hi friends,
the helmet arrived on saturday
Here are a few pics i took on natural light on my balcony with my phone.
The leather is flexible and not stiff, which i find is very good. The weird white spots bother me a bit, but on the other hand its an 80 year old item..
Can you answer me one thing: i read that some of you put renaissance wax on their helmets and leather. Would you recommend it for my helmet? I have that wax at home.
Thank you guys
