Not posted in a while and thought i'd share a recent pickup. This is my ckl M42 Kriegsmarine helmet. Not a mint helmet but I like it!

Was wondering what became of you. Nice to see you back here.
At first I was going to ask for better closeups of the eagle to confirm it is a true navy decal..but after zooming in, the border appears to be there at least around the eagles head & neck. Textured finish paint on M40-42 helmets it's normally tough to see. David

Hi, tough to see the border from these images but i am sure in hand you can see it much better, a touch "salty" but at the right price a good pick up. Leon.

The helmet came from a place called Hermanville sur Mer in France.

My Granddad was fighting around that immediate area on the 6th June 1944!! Leon.
