Article about: Hallo. Need help on this. Odd stamp, any opinion are most appreciated. Leather is dated 43 with a rb number. Helmet is a size 68...Good as/or bad. Kind regards Larsn

    I see an F? could be EF 68?

    I read it as a F also, could be EF
    But a serial number in the neck says 32.7?

    Hi, it is definitely an EF stamped helmet. EF made helmets are notorious for having weak maker and lot number stamps. Simply a nice classic EF M42 helmet. Leon.

    I see what you mean, curious, could be down to poor stamping or part of the number has worn away. Of course that's assuming the shell is original and not postwar/repro, but it seems to look ok.

    Thank you guys..I simply have not seen such bad stampings before, added with the overall bad finish of the helmet maked me suspecious, though the liner and strap looks fine to me.
