I have found at a very good price this LW M42 SD helmet, the color looks like a blue luftwaffe, and the inner looks good to me too, about the decal is where i have doubts, what do you think about it?

Hi William, for me that's a fake decal, the feather details are beyond poor, they are not even there.. If you look closely you can see the "shadow" of where the original decal was behind it. Leon.
I have never seen a German helmet with a white lining.

Decal is bad. Liner is bad. Judging by the interior rust, I also suspect the exterior paint is bad. Otherwise, it is a really nice helmet.
As stated previously, not good.

The inner is too bright but i thought i could be due the flash or camera used for the photo, and a late war liner that if i'm not wrong was made with other kind of leather and are "brighter"
About the shadow of where the original decal,i saw it, but thought that could be a replacement during war or who knows... when i see a good offer i hope that it's original, but... helmets had their prices and bargains are rare to find... I'll keep on searching.
