M42 Movie painted helmet

I got this M42 size 62 used in AVALA FILM Yugoslavian post war movie company.. Realy ugly paint and hand made decals..Above shield National colour i found original decal..how to take off the fake decal and not to damage original?? Help!!

I would just forget about getting anything useful out of it.
It's an M42 , the exterior but also the interior paint is not correct. It has a tricolor under the other tricolor , no M42's have tricolors so it was probably a refurbished movie prop already.
It would be just a waste of time.

If anything it could have been a Norwegian helmet repaint, the interior colour looks very close to the Norwegian
