M42 NSKK w/ Painted Shield - EF 64 - Lot # 2962

Hi all, This one came through Kelly Hicks from a long established collection. It was originally a SD Heer. Most NSKK helmets were reissued from Luftwaffe stocks. This one is in the Baer book. He speculated that the hand painted shield was for a foreign unit. A fairly rare bird with a unique addition. Hope you like it. Jim G.

Unfortunately, none what so ever. Baer just says it is for an "unknown" foreign unit. Cheers, Jim G.
