    What I like is there's been no attempt to "sex" it up, the weathered paint looks like it's been sitting in someone garage for the last forty years. And the Estate story is plausible. Good buy!

    oh crap...you mean I shouldn't have put those "distressed" decals I bought off eBay on it?

    The only thing I plan on doing is adding a chin strap. I am not sure if I should splurge on an original or if I should just find a decent quality repro just for display purposes...any one have any opinions on that?

    Personal opinion only: I would always get original, if that counts for anything!
